Your hosts Hans and Maree Gerritsen welcome you to the relaxed, friendly atmosphere of their home in Kenepuru Sound, the heart of the Marine Farming area in Marlborough.
We have a modern two-level home overlooking the sea and farmland. Indoors blends with outdoors with extensive balconies leading to colourful gardens and orchards.
Choose From Our Activities...
| Mussel Tour: | Complimentary trip to our nearby mussel farm where you can pick your own mussels - we’ll cook them in any number of delicious recipes! |
| Fishing: | Snapper fishing from shore, jetty or boat, October/November and February/March... Gather oysters from plentiful beds... Flounder netting from April 1st to September 30st. |
| Horse riding: | Come riding with Maree (small charge towards their keep). We have two pet horses who love going for a splash in the sea… or meet “Arctic Brave”, our purebred Shetland Pony, and Ace, the appaloosa. |
| Boating: | Sea kayak or sailing dinghy (small charge) |
| Golf: | Tackle the challenging 9-hole Nopera Golf Course, just 10km away. The northernmost course in the South Island, with absolutely stunning views across the Sounds. |
| Walking: | We are only 14km from the Queen Charlotte Walking Track and can set you off at the Punga Cove turnoff. Shorter walks nearby. |
| Tame farm animals: | We have several pet cattle, a milking cow and a friendly pig. |
