Windhoek is accessible by road, boat or float plane.

If you would like to drive your car to here, then take the Queen Charlotte Drive between Picton and Havelock. Turn onto the Kenepuru Road at Linkwater (almost half way) and drive to The Portage Resort. We're another 45 minutes on, around the Kenepuru Head. Follow the signs for St Omer or Raetihi. When you come to Waitaria Bay turn left at the red "Warehouse" shed. Just 150 metres past the historic Waitaria Bay School is the jetty and then Windhoek.

Or Travel by boat from Havelock to the Waitaria Bay jetty, or catch the Beachcomber from Picton to Torea Bay, the transfer shuttle to Portage, and we can arrange a boat pick-up from there.

You even have the possibility to arrive in a float plane from Picton at the jetty less some 70m away.
